The UBA Ultra head is the core validation module of JCM’s next-generation cash acceptance platform. It uses Contact Image Sensor (CIS) technology to capture 100% of both sides of each note or ticket, ensuring outstanding counterfeit detection, serial number identification, and support for 1D and 2D barcodes such as QR, PDF417, and Data Matrix.
This JCM UBA Ultra head supports both standard CIS validation (model UBA-700) and an enhanced variant with UV and magnetic sensing (model UBA-701), offering operators flexibility based on their security and regulatory requirements. Designed for durability, the module achieves a minimum of 1 million cycles with an MCBF of at least 500,000 cycles, providing long-term reliable performance.
Because the UBA Ultra bill acceptor head is fully compatible with existing UBA Pro hardware — including frames, harnesses, cashboxes, and ICB® modules — operators can upgrade to the Ultra platform without replacing their existing infrastructure. This makes it an ideal drop-in solution for maintenance, modernization, or system expansion.
